Vanity Plates are the Finishing Touch!
Many enthusiasts who love their cars often attend car show events such as Trax, which is a performance car event, many people go there to show off their pride and joy. Each group of cars have their own dedicated group of owners who arrange meets, through things like forums, facebook groups or already set up and well known car clubs. This for many owners is a time to shine and show off their pride and joy and truly expose their ride.
Vanity plates, also known as show plates are like number plates, but placed over the number plates on days like off road car shows, motorshows or car meets. The simple reason for this is to take customisation to another level, a finishing touch for the owners and a chance for a bit of freedom to write whatever they want on a set of personalised show plates. For example, An owner of a green highly modified car may want to cover his original plates with ‘THE HULK’, to signify the beast look of his/her vehicle. This is also a chance for owners to advertise their business, such as buying show plates designed to read a website address, twitter username or a contact telephone number.
Car shows get a high volume of visitors, and many photographers are at the scene, so for many it is a case of disguising their vehicles identity and hiding the registration plates with custom show plates and displaying a tag line or name instead. But for some, it is a great advertising opportunity, for example an owner of a car vinyl business may have a great vinyl wrapped vehicle, and his contact on the vehicles show plates. This eventually will result in his car being shown off to all the online community through different posts on different websites, an instant marketing gain!
